Pappula (Paruppu) Podi

Pappula podi is a signature recipe from both sides of my family. My Nainamma(Dad’s mom) and Ammamma (Mom’s mom) made it without any variation to the recipe. My dad’s mom is from Vellore, Tamil Nadu and my mom’s is from is Nellore, Andhra Pradesh. Being the only daughter-in-law of the house, my mom always adjusted to my dad’s family side for most recipes. My mom laughs that this is the one of the recipes where she didn’t have to worry about the variations. It goes well with Idli, Dosa, and Plain Rice
