Banana Blueberry Smoothie

Living away from my family for the first time, I have had to adapt to many changes, of which one of the biggest is preparing breakfast on my own. I am used to waking up every day to find steaming hot idlies and chutney on my plate but these past few months, without a kitchen, I have become creative in making breakfast. On days where I have to leave early for 7:30am classes, I found that smoothies are the easiest breakfast to get me going. After experimenting in my dorm room a few times, I have perfected this banana blueberry smoothie. It makes for a delicious start to the day!

RECIPE FOR BANANA BLUEBERRY SMOOTHIE

Ingredients:

Serves 1 person

Banana - 3/4

Almond Milk - 1/2 cup

Blueberries - a handful

Almond butter - 1/2 tsp

Honey - 1 tsp

Instructions:

  1. Add all the ingredients to a mixie jar and run it in until everything is blended.

Tips & Tricks

  • If you want to subdue the banana flavor, you can experiment by adding cinnamon, chocolate chips, etc.

  • Consume the smoothie within 10-20 minutes of making as the banana will produce a weird taste if it is left for too long
