Vegetable Stir-Fry

This is a copycat recipe, I am yet to find the right source, so be patient…

Desika Products Used: Sesame oil

RECIPE FOR VEGETABLE STIR FRY

Ingredients:

Carrots - Thinly Sliced - 1/2 cup

Cabbage - Thinly Sliced - 1/2 cup

Capsicum - Thinly Sliced - 1/2 cup

Garlic - 3 pods - finely chopped

Green Chillies - 1 to 2 - Slit into 2

Cilantro - 1 handful

Tamari Sauce or Soy Sauce - 2 teaspoons

Hoisin Sauce - 1 teaspoon

Sesame oil - 3 teaspoons

Salt as needed

Instructions:

  1. Heat up a wok and add the sesame oil, once it’s hot enough had garlic and sauté until golden brown

  2. Add carrots sauté well until its little tender, then add capsicum, cabbage salute for 2 to 3 mins and then add green chilies

  3. Now drizzle the Soy sauce around the veggies, mix well

  4. Follow the same drizzling method to add Hoisin sauce

  5. Adjust the salt if required. The sauces you added should already have some salt

  6. Finally add the chopped cilantro before serving

  7. Tada the stir fry is now ready. My family enjoys this for a quick supper item along with a light dinner.

Tips & Tricks:

  1. Reduce or increase the cook time of the veggies depending on how crunchy you would like.

  2. I like my stir fry veggies crunchy, so I used the above timings
